CCG President speaks at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit
CCG President Wang Huiyao was invited to speak at The Hindustan Times Leadership Summit as the sole Chinese representative at the event, held in New Delhi from October 5 to 6. The summit brought together thought leaders from various fields for in-depth discussion, including politicians, government officials, diplomats, business executives, think tank experts, commentators, scientists, artists, and media representatives.
The summit attracted over 30 global influencers to speak, including well-known figures such as soccer legend Pele and actor Will Smith. It also featured senior Indian politicians such as Rajnath Singh, Union Minister for Home Affairs, Rahul Gandhi, Congress president; and Arun Jaitley, Union finance minister. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former US President Obama participated in last year’s event.
CCG President Wang Huiyao gave a speech on new trends in Sino-Indian relations, emphasizing the complementarities of both economies and the opportunities for cooperation through platforms such as BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Wang stressed the potential for increased bilateral collaboration through people-to-people exchange, trade and investment, and working together in international affairs for shared peace and prosperity.
