BRICS Mechanism: To where does it lead?
On Sep 1, 2017, right before the BRICS Leaders Summit, Center for China and Globalization (CCG) organized a symposium surrounding the cooperation mechanism of BRICS. Many experts and scholars specialized in international relations, international politics, international trade and Asian studies were invited to discuss the influence of BRICS in world economy and global governance and the prospect of the cooperation of BRICS. The symposium was hosted by Dr. Li Weifeng, the Executive Secretary of CCG.

China-South Asia Think Tank Summit Proposed at CCG Belt and Road Initiative Seminar
More than 20 government officials, think tank scholars and corporate executives from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, India and the United States met at CCG headquarters on June 16, 2017, and proposed an idea to hold a seven-country think tank summit to provide advice on the implementation of the Belt and Road initiative in South Asia.

On March 26, 2017, Mr. Huiyao Wang, President of the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) hosted a roundtable discussion with overseas Chinese business leaders and think tank scholars at the 2017 Boao Forum. The event was focused on how Chinese business community around the world can capitalize on the opportunities provided by China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiatives.

CCG, ICTSD Co-host Symposium on Outlooks of Global Trade Policies in 2018
On Mar 27, 2018, CCG joined the International Center for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD) and China Institute for WTO Studies at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE WTO Institute) hosting a symposium to discuss the prospect of global trade policies in 2018.
