Why “new infrastructure” matters:The digital economy and COVID-19
Recent policymaking discussions have paid growing attention to the importance of “new infrastructure” that supports the digital economy, such as 5G networks and data. The building of new infrastructure is seen as a way to help China’s economy bounce back after the fallout of COVID-19.

CCG holds the online seminar “Coping with a pandemic: perspectives from the global business community”
On 1st April, 2020, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) held the online seminar with the theme of “Coping with a pandemic: perspectives from the global business community”. This event brought together several senior representatives from international chamber of commerce in China, some experts and scholars as well as enterprises to discuss the impacts of the coronavirus on global supply chains, the role of government and the business community playing in tackling the pandemic etc.

CCG holds event on China-US relations at the 2020 MSC
From February 14 to 16, the 56th Munich Security Conference (MSC), on the theme of “Westlessness,” was held in Munich. The event brought together more than 500 high-level international decision-makers, including 35 heads of state, over 100 foreign and defense ministers, and leaders from politics, business, academia and civil society to discuss current crises and future security challenges.

Professor Zheng Yongnian talks on China-US Relations at CCG
On January 21, 2020, Zheng Yongnian, director of CCG’s Academic Expert Committee and professor at the East Asian Institute at the National University of Singapore, delivered a speech on “Current and Future China-US Relations” at CCG headquarters in Beijing. The speech provided a new perspective on China's development amidst the changing international situation. Related issues were discussed with participants and media representatives.
