CCG president gave a keynote speech at 2016 International Metropolis Conference in Japan
On the 25th and 26th October, 2016, Center for China and Globalization’s (CCG) president Dr. Huiyao Wang, CCG Co-founder Dr. Lu Miao, CCG researcher Dr. Yixi Lu, and associate researcher Xiaolin Yang of CCG attended the 2016 International Metropolis Conference in Achi-Nagoya, Japan.

CCG, Asia Society Co-hosts Seminar to Discuss Scientific Technology Innovation and Human Resource Transformation
The Center for China and Globalization is invited by Asia Society as the China partner to host a seminar on Nov. 3 to discuss science and technology innovation and human resource transformation with a purpose to call for further improving education and professional training system and distribution of labor resource based on market demand.

Director of CCG gave a talk at IOM Conference in Geneva
Dr. Wang Huiyao, Director General of Center of China and Globalization was invited to participate as a speaker in a workshop on “South-South migration: partnering strategically for development”, organized by the International Organization for Migration in the framework of its International Dialogue on Migration (IDM) on 24 and 25 March 2014 in Geneva, Switzerland.

The CCG’s ‘track-II’ diplomacy in America (X) – Cooperating with Migration Policy Institute in studying international migration and talents
At the beginning of October, the team from Center for China and Globalization (CCG) held a meeting with the Migration Policy Institute. The Migration Policy Institute is the pioneering think tank of migration study in America. The meeting was held at its headquarter in Washington D.C. During the meeting, the two sides expressed their views on the trends of global migration, the Trump administration on migration policy, the international flow of talents, as well as the two think tanks’ cooperation on the future study of migration. Through the visit, the CCG team enlarged their knowledge of American politics and American migration policy from the perspective of migration.

New bluebook captures key trends in global migration
June 9 saw the release of a new book that maps out shifting patterns of global migration and policy solutions to address these trends. The 2018 Report on China’s International Migration was co-authored by the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and Institute of Development Studies at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), with CCG President Wang Huiyao and CCG Secretary-General Miao Lu as chief editors.
