CCG Hosts 2023 Chengdu Global Youth Talent Conference
On June 8th, the 2023 Chengdu Global Youth Talent Conference, hosted by the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), was held at the China-Europe Center in Chengdu. Guests from more than ten countries, including several ambassadors to China, representatives of international organizations, internationally renowned experts and scholars, heads of multinational companies, and youth representatives discussed topics ranging from how to better promote events held in Chengdu, making Chengdu a event-oriented city, improving its business environment, fostering the cultivation of international talent and Chengdu's experience in working to become a “park city”.

Luncheon meeting in Brussels to exchange with CCG
A high-level luncheon chaired by H.E. Erik Solheim, vice-chair of the Europe-Asia Center on the occasion of the visit to Brussels by the Executive Committee of the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) explored the leaders insight on EU – China dialogue and prospects of Sino –European relations.Among the participating guests the center was delighted to host H.E. Secretary of State Baron Frans van Daele, Dr. Henry Huiyao Wang, Founder and President of the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), Dr. Mabel Lu MIAO, Co-founder and Secretary-General of CCG, Mr. Dominic Porter, Head of Division China, EEAS, Mr. WANG Yiwei, Jean Monnet Chair Professor.Key topics on the EU-China dialogue were comprehensively addressed during the luncheon, encompassing discussions on the EU-China Investment and Trade Agreement, EU’s Strategic autonomy, cooperation in the quest of addressing the global climate challenges and engagement of the global South.

The Center for China and Globalization (CCG), a leading non-governmental thinktank in Beijing, welcomed a ten-member Dutch government delegation from various departments to its headquarters and hosted a roundtable discussion entitled China’s Ecosystem of Science, Technology, and Innovation: Opportunities and Potential.

CCG hosts closed joint roundtable with New Zealand China Council
On May 10, 2023, CCG hosted a closed roundtable conference jointly with the New Zealand China Council with the theme ‘Towards a More Resilient New Zealand-China Relationship’. Representatives from both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as trade cooperation between China and New Zealand, the development of China-New Zealand diplomatic relations and cultural exchange. Mike Liu, Vice President and Senior Fellow from the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), and Alistair Crozier, Executive Director at the New Zealand China Council gave welcome speeches, while H.E. Grahame Morton, Ambassador of New Zealand to China, and Ambassador ZHAN Yongxin, Chairman of China National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation, each delivered keynote speeches.

Text: Wang Huiyao in dialogue with Joseph Nye
On April 28th, Professor Joseph Nye’s new book, Soft Power and Great-Power Competition: Shifting Sands in the Balance of Power between the United States and China, published in English by Springer Nature and in Chinese by CITIC Press, was released at CCG. The book is another heavyweight work in the “China and Globalization” book series edited by Dr. Huiyao Wang and Dr. Lu Miao. During the event, Professor Joseph Nye and CCG President Dr. Huiyao Wang had a dialogue.
