As a pioneer “new type of think tank with Chinese characteristics,” CCG is dedicated to researching think tank theories and continuously innovating management practices, promoting the innovative development of Chinese think tanks, and promoting academic exchanges and management experience sharing between Chinese think tanks and academic experts and international top think tanks through multiple channels. Over the past ten years, CCG has been actively learning from cutting-edge ideas and management practices of international top think tanks, and has been exploring new ways to meet the needs of Chinese think tanks by sending visiting scholars, "going global" international exchange, organizing the annual China Global Think Tank Innovation Forum, and seminars for international top think tanks, publishing research works, and cooperating with international think tanks. CCG has developed into one of the leading non-governmental think tanks in China.

BRICS Mechanism: To where does it lead?
On Sep 1, 2017, right before the BRICS Leaders Summit, Center for China and Globalization (CCG) organized a symposium surrounding the cooperation mechanism of BRICS. Many experts and scholars specialized in international relations, international politics, international trade and Asian studies were invited to discuss the influence of BRICS in world economy and global governance and the prospect of the cooperation of BRICS. The symposium was hosted by Dr. Li Weifeng, the Executive Secretary of CCG.

A team from Taiwan visited CCG and exchanged opinions on the ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative and globalization
On Aug 31, 2017, together with the officials of Taiwan Affairs Office, a team from Taiwan, who focuses on the ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative and globalization, visited Center for China and Globalization (CCG). Nearly 20 professors from Taiwan University, National Chengchi University and other universities in Taiwan shared their opinions on the ’Belt and Road’ Initiative and globalization with the academicians and researchers of Academia Sinica, the officials of Taiwan Affairs Office and the experts of CCG.

The CCG’s ‘track-II’ diplomacy’ in America (III) – Exploring the cooperation opportunities for Chinese and American think tanks with Asia Society
On the afternoon of Sep 29, CCG visited the headquarter of Asia Society in New York and exchanged opinions on issues such as the development of think tanks in both countries and the two parties’ future cooperation and regional governance. Josette Sheeran, the President and CEO of Asia Society, Debra Eisenman, the Executive Director of Asia Society Policy Institute, Jackson Edwin, the Director of Asia Development, Jeff Wang, the Program Director of China Learning Initiatives of Asia Society, Minyoung Shin, the Senior Researcher of Asia Development as well as Patrick Ingle, the Special Assistant and Advisor of the Head of Asia Society Research Institute joined in the meeting.
