US trade delegation visits CCG to discuss trade war impact on investment and finance
On August 24, 2018, a trade delegation of US companies led by David Barrosse, founder and CEO of Capstone LLC, a policy analysis and regulatory due diligence research firm, visited CCG to discuss the impact of the US-China trade war on the US and Chinese economies.

Roundtable held to discuss the reform of WTO
On August 23, CCG held a roundtable Dialogue on WTO Modernization in Beijing with leading Swiss think tank Center for International Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD) to discuss emerging and existing issues relative to WTO and with major focus on Trade war between the world two biggest economies, America and China as well as developing countries.

How will Sino-US economic tensions play out? Experts from both sides share views
In recent days, President Trump directed the US Trade Representative's office to draw up a list of $200 billion worth of Chinese goods to subject to an additional 10% tariff, up from the initial threat of $50 billion worth. In response, China’s Ministry of Commerce said that China will respond with qualitative and quantitative measures against the US if Trump’s threats are carried out.

New Order of the International Trade System
On April 26, CCG held a roundtable in Beijing with leading Canadian think tank Center for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) to discuss pressing issues for the global trade system. Chaired by CCG President Wang Huiyao and CIGI President Rohinton Medhora, the discussion saw a fruitful exchange of views between experts from CCG, CIGI, and the Embassy of Canada in China. Both sides put forward new ideas to revitalize the world trade system and identified areas for cooperation between the two think tanks.

Two-Way Street: 2018 Update U.S.-China Direct Investment Trends
Amidst rising tension in the Sino-U.S. economic relationship, on April 19, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) hosted a roundtable in Beijing, bringing together experts from China and the U.S. to discuss foreign direct investment (FDI) between the two countries. The event marked the China launch of a new report, Two-Way Street: 2018 Update on the US-China Direct Investment Trends, a research project led by the Rhodium Group and the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations (NCUSCR).
