Shou Huisheng
     

Dr. Shou Huisheng is a senior research fellow at the National Strategy Institute of Tsinghua University. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and was a lecturer at Christopher Newport University of Virginia.

His research focuses on comparative and international political economy, globalization, global governance, and public policies, with a regional focus on China, East Asia, and developing countries in general. He is the author or co-editor of three books and has published several papers on peer-reviewed journals. His recent book is Globalization and Welfare Restructuring in China: the Authoritarianism that Listens?  published by Routledge in 2016.

He was the recipient of the Best Paper Award at the 2010 annual conference of the Association of Chinese Political Science, for his study on China’s welfare reform.
