Leng Yan, Executive Vice President in charge of Daimler Greater China in charge of External Affairs and Public Policy.
Before joining Daimler, he was Vice President of TOTAL China responsible for government affairs and communication. Prior to that, he spent 18 years in senior business management positions at leading multinational companies: He was General Manager of Construction Industry and Director of Industry Affairs at BASF, right before that, he was Chief Representative/Country Manager China at Hochtief. Yan started his career in 1987 as a junior diplomat and chief interpreter for German-speaking countries in China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Yan LENG studied since 1981 in Germany on Chinese government scholarship and graduated in 1987 with a Master degree of Karls-Ruprecht University of Heidelberg. In 2003, he earned his MBA degree from China-Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
He speaks fluently Chinese, German and English.
