Ribbon-cutting Ceremony Celebrates the Grand Opening of CCG’s New Headquarters Office

The Center for China & Globalization (CCG)’s new headquarters office in Beijing was officially opened to the public on March 17, 2015, with dozens of academic and business leaders attending a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate this new milestone in the think tank’s history.

The new office, which remains in the Hanwei Plaza at the heart of Beijing’s central business district, will function as a center for CCG’s scholarly research and outreach efforts, while also providing a convenient venue for exchange activities. It underscores CCG’s rapidly growing strength and influence as a think tank over the past few years, which has been made possible by the generous backing of its partners in high-level political, business, and academic circles.

A large number of guests were invited to witness and celebrate this significant moment in CCG’s history. Led by CCG President and Counselor for the Chinese Government State Council Dr. Wang Huiyao, CCG senior staff joined council members and the other guests in the ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour of the new office. On behalf of CCG, Dr. Wang expressed sincere gratitude to the CCG chairman, vice chairman and council members for their strong and continuous support to the independent think tank.  Since China is committed to building new types of think tanks specifically tailored to address the country’s own needs, he believes CCG is entering a new era with tremendous opportunities for development. Dr. Wang also encouraged everyone to build on this momentum and take CCG to an even higher level.
