Track Two Diplomacy
CCG pays close attention to international relations, promotes China and globalization, actively engages in international exchange, and gives full play to its role as a "Track II diplomacy" think tank. Our think tank organizes sub-forums, bilateral and multilateral events, roundtables, banquets and other activities at major international policy and opinion exchange platforms such as the Paris Peace Forum, the World Economic Forum and the Munich Security Conference to promote dialogue and build consensus among international political, business and academic circles. CCG actively engages in "Track II Diplomacy" with the policy, think tank and business communities of various countries, conducts annual research and exchanges in multiple countries, promotes interaction between Chinese and foreign parties, and maintains communication channels with the policymaking parties of various countries.

Despite the fact that US-China relationship is facing some of the greatest challenges of the past four decades, it will remain the world’s most consequential bilateral relationship in the foreseeable future. Strategic competition between the two countries has intensified amid emerging problems ranging from economic disagreements to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. In these turbulent times, there’s been an increasing call for the world’s two largest economies to work together to clear a path towards global recovery.

CCG holds event on China-US relations at the 2020 MSC
From February 14 to 16, the 56th Munich Security Conference (MSC), on the theme of “Westlessness,” was held in Munich. The event brought together more than 500 high-level international decision-makers, including 35 heads of state, over 100 foreign and defense ministers, and leaders from politics, business, academia and civil society to discuss current crises and future security challenges.

On December 14-15, the Doha Forum 2019 was hosted in Qatar, Doha, bringing together nearly 3000 leaders, thinkers, scholars, experts and policy makers to address global challenges and reimagine global governance.
