The Center for China and Globalization (CCG) is a leading Chinese non-government think tank based in Beijing. It is dedicated to the study of Chinese public policy and globalization. Boasting a strong research team, it enjoys an impressive record of publications and events with broad public policy impact. CCG’s research agenda centers on China’s growing role in the world, drawing from issues of global migration, foreign relations, international trade and investment, homegrown MNCs and other topics pertaining to regional and global governance.

For the healthy growth of the CCG, we are looking for outstanding individuals with a strong sense of social responsibility, committed to the work of think tanks, and interested in the following issues: international affairs, policy advising, global talent and talent strategy work, enterprise internationalization, and issues concerning overseas Chinese, studying aboard and returnees’ entrepreneurship, etc.

Available positions
  • English Editor Full-time position
    Key Duties/Responsibilities:

    1. -Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in copy writing and editing
    2. -Native or near-native English language skills
    3. -Experience writing and editing copy in a variety of online and offline formats
    4. -Strong Chinese language skills, with the ability to conduct Chinese to English translation
    5. -Highly organized and able to simultaneously manage multiple cross-department projects
    6. -Motivated by writing copy that engages an international audience on China-related issues and trends
    7. -Experience engaging with high-profile political and/or private industry figures preferred
    8. -Able to work and collaborate with teams from different backgrounds &cultures
    9. -Bachelor’s degree preferably in English, Chinese, Communications, Journalism,Politics, International Relations or another relevant subject

    -Lead on English language editing and copy writing – write original copy, edit translations in a variety of online and offline formats

    -Perform Chinese to English translation, editing copy for CCG's international audience

    -Manage the translation of copy, adhering to tight deadlines and publication schedules

    -Work with Chinese and international social media teams to create and schedule content posting

    -Liaise across departments to guarantee the quality of all CCG English copy and content

    -Represent CCG at high-profile meetings and events

    -Engage with media representatives to manage and expand CCG's international media presence

    CCG offers candidates the opportunity to work at China's leading non-governmental think tank, working with Chinese and international experts on the most pressing issues impacting China’s globalization. As the English Editor at CCG, you will be provided the opportunity to attend meetings and events dealing with key matters at the heart of Chinese globalization, reporting on developments from the unique point of view of a non-governmental Chinese think tank.
