Despite a rise in global living standards since the 1960s, not everyone benefits from free trade and globalization, such as in the US, where living standards have been declining for some time. And losers from the rapid growth of free trade have begun to associate the striking inequality with free trade and globalization. What challenges will growing global inequality bring to China and the whole world? And have the governments done enough to tackle the problem?
