CCG Launches New Branch in Shenzhen

The Center for China and Globalization (CCG) establishes its Shenzhen branch on Dec. 22. Over 50 CCG scholars, senior executives of multinational companies, and local government officials get together to discuss how think tanks can contribute to local development.

Ma Weihua, CCG’s Vice Chairman and Former President of China Merchants Bank, and Chen Shiyi, President of South University of Science and Technology of China and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Science, are invited to serve as the honorable chairmen of CCG’s Shenzhen branch. Dr. Liu Ke, Director of Chemistry and Chemical Industrial Professional Board of “Thousand Talents” Experts Association, Vice President of CCG, is appointed as the chairman. Other vice chairmen of the branch are Chen Ning, Founder & CEO of Shenzhen Intellifusion Technology Co. Ltd; Wei Xue, Executive President of TCL Foundation; and You Zhonghui, the Chairman of Shenzhen Seaskyland Group.



CCG is a think tank registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs. In addition to its headquarters in Beijing, CCG has 10 subsidiaries around the world and three other affiliate institutions –  China Global Talent Society, South China Global Talent Institute, and North China Global Talent Institute. Currently, CCG has nearly 100 full-time research fellows and administrative staff.

Shenzhen, as the first special economic zone after China adopted the reform and opening-up policies and one of the international cosmopolitans in China, is moving towards becoming also a national hub of culture and creativities. The CCG’s Shenzhen branch is believed to become a platform contribute to local policy making and progress.
