The Global Young Leaders Dialogue Annual Forum 2025 was successfully held in Beijing from November 18 to 20. Distinguished guests, esteemed young leaders,
It is a profound privilege to address this inspiring gathering at the Global Young Leaders Dialogue Annual Forum. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Center for China and Globalization for convening such a timely and visionary dialogue.
The theme “Decoding the Future” could not be more fitting. The United Nations firmly believes that the future you are decoding today will define the world we all share tomorrow. As Secretary-General António Guterres has said, young people are the world’s greatest source of hope. You embody that hope through your creativity, courage, and commitment to building a more sustainable, just, and inclusive planet.
We face a series of interconnected challenges: climate change, inequality and rapid technological disruption. Yet technology, when guided by ethics and empathy, holds the power to unite rather than divide, to empower rather than exclude, and to turn innovation into a force for human progress. The United Nations looks to you not as innovators, but as partners in reimagining the pathways to peace, sustainability and shared prosperity.
Let this forum be a catalyst for collaboration across borders and cultures; a space where ideas become action and action builds hope. Together, let us decode a future that works for everyone.
