The future belongs to the young people, and our hopes also rest with them. On July 7, 2023, the Main Forum of the Global Youth Conference 2023, the Huanghewan Youth Economic Forum, organized by the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government, will be held in Shandong. The two sides launched this forum first time in 2022, aiming to create an international economic forum with Chinese characteristics, global vision and youth leadership, and to cultivate a youth version Davos Forum.

The theme of this year’s forum is “New Industrialization Amidst Global Value Chain Reconstruction”, aiming to understand the current trend of Global Value Chain reconstruction, grasp the new opportunities of the new round of technological revolution and industrial change, explore how to further promote new industrialization and how to build a more equal, inclusive, green and constructive Global Value Chain through new platforms such as RCEP and CPTPP. It will showcase the effectiveness of Shandong in strengthening and stabilizing the industrial and supply chain by focusing on key areas, creating a whole chain of innovation platforms from basic research, technological innovation, achievements incubation to regional demonstration, and promoting key enterprises to precisely “enter the chain”, and other experiences and classical cases, so as to provide an opportunity for Shandong to show how to promote the high-quality development of the industrial economy globally, strengthen and optimize the local industrial chain, and effectively promote the deep integration of the industrial chain with the innovation chain and talent chain.
