President of the NCUSCR Stephen Orlins Visits CCG

On April 3, 2023, President of the National Committee on United States-China Relations (NCUSCR) Stephen Orlins visited CCG. He met with Wang Huiyao, CCG President and former Counselor at the China State Council, Tian Deyou, CCG Senior Fellow and former Minister Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in the United States, Zhou Xiaoming, CCG Senior Fellow and former Deputy Representative of the Chinese Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Geneva, Mike Liu, CCG Vice President and Senior Fellow, Mabel Miao, CCG Secretary-General, Wang Zichen, CCG Research Fellow and Wu Mengqi, CCG Research Fellow.

During the visit, they also held a panel discussion on China-US relations, trade cooperation and investment.

The National Committee on United States-China Relations (NCUSCR) is a non-profit organization that promotes people-to-people understanding and trade cooperation between the two countries. Stephen Orlins has been president of the National Committee since 2005. From 1976 to 1979, Mr. Orlins served in the Office of the Legal Advisor of the United States Department of State, where he worked as a member of the legal team that helped establish diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China.

 

 

During CCG’s Track Ⅱ Diplomacy visit to the US in June 2022, CCG experts visited Orlins and other senior fellows of the National Committee in New York where they exchanged opinions on China-US relations, trade and investment, as well as cooperation on global issues such as sustainable development.
