CCG and the Agora Strategy Group recently hosted a joint  seminar. Wolfgang Ischinger, Honorary Chairman of Agora Strategy Group and former Chairman of Munich Security Conference, along with WANG Huiyao, President of Center for China, and Globalization (CCG), discussed topics related to China, Germany, and Europe in these uncertain times, sharing a variety of views on economics and politics.

2022 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Germany. Leading an unprecedented three-party coalition, the new German Chancellor Olaf Scholtz has a tremendous role to play in coping with the massive fallout of the Russian-Ukraine conflict and deepening economic ties with China, while severe sanctions against Russia shake the stability of global finance, energy markets, and supply chains. Dr. Ischinger and Dr. Wang held frank and open discussions on the impact of the Ukraine crisis on China-EU relations, diplomacy between China and Germany in the context of a changing geopolitical environment, and foreign investment in China.
