Vice Secretary General of China Foundation for Peace and Development
He studied Spanish at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. After graduation, he worked in the Foreign Affairs Office of the Guangdong Provincial People’s Government and was transferred to the International Department of the CPC Central Committee in 1979. After returning to China, he continued to work in the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, serving successively as director of the Bureau of Latin America, Director of the International Exchange Center and Director of the Bureau of Western Europe. He served as second Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Peru, first Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Brazil and Ambassador to Guinea-Bissau. Retired in 2017, he is now deputy Secretary-General of China Foundation for Peace and Development under the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, member of Spanish Experts Committee of National Translation And Interpreting Professional Qualification Examination Center, adjunct Professor of Latin American Studies of Southwest University of Science and Technology, and invited researcher of Latin American Studies of Anhui University.
