Xu Xiujun, PhD. in International Relations, Senior Research Fellow, Deputy Director of Department of International Political Economy and Executive Director of Center for the BRICS Studies, Institute of World Economics and Politics (IWEP), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Deputy Secretary-general of China’s Society of Emerging Economies. He finished his doctoral program at Institute of International Affairs of Central China Normal University in 2009 and then worked at IWEP as postdoctoral research fellow from 2009-2011. He was visiting the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, Australian National University from 2008-2009 and The George Washington University in 2017. His research interests cover international political economy, Asian and Pacific cooperation, and emerging economies and global economic governance.
